The truck is throwing P0011 code, is this just a tune issue or could it be something more serious?

If you have not yet tuned it, I believe that the cam timing is off and needs to be adjusted.

Okay, I'm guessing it's just the tune then. I had Justin give me a tune before hand but having him retune it now.

Yeah I understand that. What else could it be? Would it be a timing issue or valve issue? I'm kind of confused on what the code exactly means.

I'm almost worried it could be something more. The idle on this thing it terrible. I understand what a cam does and the idle will be different but it sounds like it's going to fall apart more than just a lope. Is that normal? I can feel vibrations in my feet and seat.

I would almost bet that the chain is off a tooth or the actuator was improperly installed to set that code.

I don't think it's the chain being off a tooth, I checked that and the timing a hundred times. Where would the actuator be? Sorry dumb question.

In the center of the camshaft? how would you change a cam and not know where this is? And the magnet is on the timing cover.

That is the cam actuator solenoid? When I was looking up stuff on google that is not what came up.

So how do you not know what these parts are? What did you use the reinstall the Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve ? If you didn't use the correct tool it is not right and causing your problem

Did some digging for you bud, you said the idle was rough and from what others have experienced with same conditions, they were off by one tooth on the cam. Worth a shot to remove and see.

Jenna the code trips after about an hour of driving. And Carder, I think I'm gonna take it to a dealership because I move down to college Friday, probably gonna be $500 in labor I could do myself but being it's 6 hours from home I'll never find the time! Thanks a lot for the help!
