Can't find this info either. looking to tune up my engine that has 130k on it. I plan to get the.41-110 plugs and fuel filter. But what about the plug wires? Do you folks change them and what brand do you recommend other then OEM? Anything else I should do? Gonna clean the.throttle body aswell...

I used Bosch wires on mine. Definitely do recommend changing them, they do wear out in a sense. It's a good idea to antisieze the plugs and use dielectric grease. Torque to 14 lb•ft if I remember right.

It's a good idea to get some MAF sensor cleaner and clean it too. I don't know what all a tune up entails for you, but there's a lot you can do. Transmission filter change, differential oil change, replace coolant, check hoses, check wheel bearings, change/dress belts, etc.

Well, went to NAPA yesterday to get the items I needed for a tune up and was told that the fuel filter was in the tank. So needless to say I didn't get one. Some fuel filters are part of the fuel pump but I didn't ask.

Question is; has anyone replaced a fuel filter as a PM???

Anything newer than 03 has no external fuel filter so you swap out the pump. If its got good pressure leave it be.

03 and newer trucks dont have a fuel filter?! Good to know, now I won't bother my dad so much about changing it on his 06.

Altough I don't like the idea of not using fuel and cabin air filters, among other things.

Geez I've changed mine so many times I can't imagine not having one

Except for Flex-fuel vehicles. They continued with the external filter for a short time
