Has anyone put a BAK Roll-X on there 2014 yet? I really like the looks and functionality of this cover, just looking for some real world opinions of it.

By the way I have found them online for $775 Shipped at BAKFactoryOutlet.com. For that price I figure it's worth the extra money over a soft roll up.

Hmmm, not much response here ............... apparently NOBODY else has a Roll-X?????

I'm very curious to hear more real-world reviews as well. Still up in the air, undecided between the Bak-Flip VP or the Roll-X. Each seem to have pros/cons. I can foresee the locking bars on the Roll-X being problematic (if they ever get bent, or if the cover is rolled up and snow/ice gets into the tracks), but wonder what the actual likelihood of that really is, vs. the great functionality of the Roll-X otherwise?!

All of the Bak-Flip covers seem virtually "idiot-proof". I'm just not 100% sold on the idea of blocking the whole rear window just for the sake of having the cover completely open? (hence, the Roll-X which only blocks ~half the window, AND, provides a strap to tie it up with, vs. the Bak-Flip needing bungee cords attached to the D-rings).

Would love to hear some experience on either, but specifically the Roll-X. I know I can get one on sale tomorrow (Black Friday and all).

You can take the BakFlip off in literally five minutes if you don't want to block the rear view out the window. Then to put it back on-just square it up and tighten the two bolts.

I have the F1.

Truxedo low pro qt...that's what I got and easy and simple to put on and take off. Still can put box rails on if one so desires. Love mine so far.

I have the Roll-X on my truck. It's been on since late August and I really like it. I use my truck as a truck and have never had to take it off. Went on quick and easy. Rolls up easy. Bed stays dry. So far, five stars. One thing that I'll be watching out for is the snow and ice. Last week, when it got down to 19 degrees, it had manually disengage the spring-loaded lock bar. Must have been frozen. Now, it only took a light touch on each side, so no concerns, yet.

I paid under $700 at AutoAccessoriesGarage.

That's my fear/concern with the Roll-X, is that in a cold/wintery climate, those locking bars may not work 100%. I also wonder about if the cover is open for any period of time and if rain or snow gets into the rails, will they potentially freeze up and not allow the cover to close or lock?!

If it weren't for those concerns, I'd be ALL OVER the Roll-X, but I'm maybe leaning towards the Bak-Flip VP instead, since it's a less complicated closing/locking system (less moving parts to screw up).
