Installed Addco swaybar on 2010 Silverado

I tow a pretty heavy travel trailer (about 7,500 pounds, about 1,000 pound tongue weight) with my Silverado 1500 Extended Cab Z-71 (6.2L, 3.42). In pursuit of a better towing experience, I installed the Addco swaybar recently. I had previously done some 1,500 pound overleaf helper springs to keep the truck level (I also have the 2" Rough Country leveling kit in the front). I haven't towed yet because life keeps getting in the way...

All I can say at this point is "dang!" I really didn't expect my ride to be significantly compromised when empty, but you can definitely tell that it is much rougher. In fact, I'm even considering removing the sway bar! I actually don't tow that much, and I could put it back on when I'd be talking a longer trip.

Anyone else have experience with this?

Thanks,

scott

Are you using a weight distributing hitch? Properly adjusted you should be the same as unloaded as far as level goes and unaffected when not towing. Some of these setups also have built in anti sway features.

Yes. I have the Hensley Arrow hitch system, which completely eliminates sway and also distributes the weight.
