Switches/Cutting Question

Recommended Posts

Posted

Hey guys, I have a single cab 05 Silverado and I'm going to be adding some switches for some small mods. I was just wondering how I should go about installing my switches... I was thinking about putting one underneath my cargo light switch (if I can get in there, haven't pulled the switch out yet) or in between the stereo and steering wheel.

I also have never cut up a dashboard or plastic so any tips or know-how on how to cut the plastic, make the holes to fit a 12mm round rocker switch, and anything else that might help make this easier for me. Thanks!

You need to invest in a dremel if you don't want it to look like a beaver did it.

Already have a dremel. Any certain bit I should use for plastic?

Just use a drill. make a test hole in some plywood or something and select the correct bit.

Thanks for the input. :P
