Need to fuel up. 91 octane not in this area. E30 should be around that number. Anyone use that grade and what was the results? Thanks.

If you are driving a 2014 6.2...DO NOT use flex fuel. It did change in '14.

Good to know!

What grade do you use in your Denali?

I have always used 93 octane in all my vehicles.

What?!?

There is not a yellow flex fuel, fuel cap on my 2014 nor a flex fuel decal on the tail gate like my 2011 had.

The sticker on the fuel door implicitly states premium fuel only.

Is this a mid production change?

The 6.2L engine IS Flex Fuel. Here's the build sheet for my Denali that's coming in next week.

I had one of these also. Once you get your truck check out the window sticker. It is not flex fuel.

No matter you will love your truck.

The 6.2 is not recommended to run 87, if you want a vehicle for good gas mileage and to run 87 then get the 5.3. Running 87 in the 6.2 is only asking for detonation issues, more so when it gets hot outside. And the difference is only maybe $2-3 per tank from 87 to 91 octane.

Why does GM state that the 6.2's can run on 87?

Never mind, you're right. I just talked to GM. Premium fuel IS recommended but NOT required, so yeah you do have a valid point.
