Nnbs aux switches center dash?

So I had my dash out yest and I dont have any of the factory aux controls between the cig lighters. My question is the wiring is there but no switches If I were to buy the switches would they actually work? I think the switches are like park assist cancel, power pedals and 2 others any info would help im just curious if All I had to do is buy were the switches and have some extra options my slt sierra doesnt have.

No, buying switches won't make any option you don't currently have start working. All the things you list have additional parts/wiring that you won't have.

The harness may be the same across different trim trucks but for example:

 

Power adjusting pedals require an entirely different pedal set, motors for the pedals and probably some different mechanical bracing.

 

Park assist requires the sensors as well as different bumpers.

 

The downhill assist on Z71s is likely all electrical/programming.

 

Lane departure and the other nannies all require sensors/cameras that don't exist on models that don't have the option.
