Hey All,

Just picked up some new tires. Cooper Discoverer ATP 275-60-20. I ditched the goodyears after about 5k miles. I had the coopers on my Avalanche before I traded it in on the 13 Sierra and liked them so I decided to go with them again.

I have to say I love the look, but they ride a lot more harsh than the Goodyears. I know going from a Highway tire to a A/T is going to compromise ride quality some, but I am not very impressed so far.

Is anybody running the ATP in this size and did your ride quality go down? I have tried different air pressures and am currently running 35 in the front and 33 in the rear and it still feels too stiff.

Would love to hear some feedback on the tires themselves as well as what air ya'll are running for the best ride.

Thanks in advance!

I have them in stock size and they aren't any rougher than the factory Goodyears were. They just feel more stable.

I usually run 37 or so in them. I've had them for about 10k and they're pretty good in all conditions. Had them on snow and ice last week and they did well. If you rotate them they'll stay pretty quiet. I took two long trips this summer (Dallas & Denver) and they were great. No drop in MPG. I like the 10 ply because of durability; I had tons of flats with P metrics. In clay mud they do well. For me they are the perfect tire.

I had them on the Avalanche with 18" z71 wheels and loved them, which is why I purchased them again. The new ones I have are quite the opposite. They handle well and braking is much better with them than the Goodyears but the ride seems to be compromised quite a bit!
