Is it me or every other thread on here someone is complaining about how this isn't right or this does that but doesn't do that. Yah it's a 35 k plus truck but it's a truck there's going to odds and ends that are wrong. There's worse things in life. end rant!

Is that any worse than having somebody make his 1st post about complaining about other peoples issues?

It's all good. It's a pretty damn good truck and like all new model years, has it's issues. That's the price you pay being the envy of your neighbors with that brand new bad ass truck.

No, it's not you. It's getting ridiculous with all these threads. Sheesh, and I thought the Mustang forums were bad with people complaining about every little thing.

i was just about to make a thread saying how happy i am with my truck... for the same reasons.. that or i could make one complaining because my wiper iced over and i had to snap it during a snow storm... thats definatly the truck and GM's fault hahahhahahahahhaha

This is the first brand new GM vehicle I've ever bought. I've had used ones before. I started a thread about my dash warping. I guess I was complaining about it because I have bought plenty of new vehicles in my life without any issues at all. Most notably a new F250 in 2012 it had the new Powerstroke and was the new body style. Never had a single issue with it inside or out. GM should be able to avoid stupid defects like shitty dash plastics by now. That being said there are some silly complaints out there.

Just my 2 cents ;)

Why did you get rid of the Ford if you weren't having any issues with it?

Diesel was too pricey, I didn't like having to put in diesel exhaust fluid every 5000 miles (not a quality issue), and it was more power than I needed. I only had a 7000lb trailer and 800+ ft lbs of torque was overkill.

The power folding mirror did fail and was replaced under warranty but that was at 25000 miles after an icy winter. I have 650 on my LTZ now and have a handful of issues. Really disappointing.

You just don't see the threads where people talk about how much they enjoy their truck. People like to complain!

However, I for one enjoy the hell out of my new truck.

I'm happy for you. I just want to enjoy mine, hopefully when I get it back I will!

I love my truck and have stated a lot about what I love about it - but that doesn't mean I shouldn't complain/vent when the 4wd goes out 700 miles into a $48K truck or that the "All Terrain" tires that came with it have less traction than the big wheel I had as a kid causing me to have to consider making it a $49K truck. :dunno:

In one of my quality assurance classes we learned about the correlation between a quality product and word of mouth advertising. I don't remember the exact numbers, but it was something like give a person a high quality, problem free product and he'll tell 10 people. Give the same person a problematic, low quality product and he'll tell 100 people.

It is frustrating. People actually want to buy a GM truck and GM doesn't have engines, sunroofs, brake controllers, sliding rear windows etc.

These went into production in July? Unacceptable IMO.

I just picked mine up last night. It is an LTZ Z71 2LZ with 5.3L, 3.42, sunroof, brake controller, CC, standard bed in tungsten. I was told that GM is removing the window code at the factory level with no other option. They can figure out the VVT, AFM, and all the other technology, but not a pulley and cable assembly. I guess that's the design group with all the fresh engineering graduates. I think I actually like the clean, non-slider option better now that I've seen it.

Exactly. For every person that complains on here there are probably 10 to 100 people that have a perfect functioning truck. They're just too busy enjoying it to come on here and tell anybody.

My issue isn't isn't that they don't work. It's the fact they don't have the parts to build 6.2l or sunroofs or brake controllers. I've never ordered a vehicle before so is this normal?
