I have a magnaflow on mine right now, but it is a 3" system. Somce days the drone is worse than others, and some days you barely notice the tone unless you jump on it. I've also had a super turbo on the truck and that was crap loud. it sucked. I've also had a flowmaster on a V-6 and while it sounded badass, the noise did get old quite often.

Anyway, on the stock exhaust, get the stainless magnaflow that will fit. Decent sound and it will last.

go on youtube and listen to others..... I'm from the land of cheap dual exhaust shops up here.... $250 out the door usually since nothing lasts more than a few years.... I had a Flowmaster 40 on my 94 Silverado and 02 Ram SI/DO... I always liked them but I'm really thinking about getting something with a rumble to it but I don't want the cab drone and I just want to replace the muffler and keep my factory Single Stainless System with the GMC Tip.... I'm not set on a particular brand I do have a Flo-Pro SI/SO muffler in the Garage off my 86 Dodge Ram. It sounded good on that truck but the truck went to the junkyard 6 months after I had it installed.... Not sure how much modification needed to put that on. Might call up the shop that did it years ago and see, they sold it originally so they shouldn't have an attitude about bringing my own muffler in (they usually do)

I did a Dynomax Ultra flo cat back kit with single exhaust on my 2013 with a 5.3L for around $287, shipped. Pretty decent exhaust, no drone, nice low throaty sound without sounding like I am at a Days of Thunder motorcycle rally.
