lift vs level

You should always get an alignment after any leveling or lift kit. Will it ride stiffer, it may. How noticeable, probably not much.

I have steel. I'm leaning towards the 2.5" rough country level/lift. Did anyone replace the rear shocks with longer ones. Does anyone feel like the rear bounces more?

I haven't heard of anyone needing to replace the rear shocks, but some have decided to do it.

K. I think I may, I'll give it a few hundred miles before I make my decision.

My lift should be here Monday (unless UPS is delayed again) and going on Thursday. Pics to follow.

So I went with the RC 2" leveling kit. It came in today. Haven't had chance to install yet. My dealer said they would install it for me. They even said they would buy my tires off me for 400-500$ if I wanted to get larger tires. Never had a dealer offer me anything like that before.

Well I'm returning the RC leveling kit and had the dealer install theirs. Unless someone wants it I'll do 65$ shipped. Theirs def looked and felt like a higher quality product and they warranty it with the 5yr 100k mile. It cost me 475$ with the alignment. Now what tires to get? Leaning towards 275/70R18. Thoughts?

I have a couple of questions if you all could help. From the pictures the rc level lift looks to be platic or a resin type product. How will this hold up 5 to 6 years l have heard of other plastic products splitting over time due from the weight of the truck. Has anyone had or know someone who has had this product on there truck for a long period of time. With that being said I have found a so called set of solid billet aluminum spacers that look like the rc kit on ebay and they are cheaper than the rc. I do have the aluminum control arms on my truck. Would love to hear everyones input on this.

I can't remember off the top of my head but it looks identical to the tuff country #12000 kit except theirs has a black coating over it.

So I had the dealer install the leveling kit. Tonight i took the truck on the highway. Got it up to 70mph and guess what. Complete vibration, from 70mph to 85mph under acceleration. It never vibrated before. I've heard all the incidents of people having vibration issues. This truck drove like a Cadillac before. Now it vibrates once you hit 70mph under acceleration. Going to have the dealer remove the kit. I just pray that the vibrations go away, and aren't here to stay. Now I know what the guys with vibration issues are all upset about. It SUCKS.

Is this because of the leveling kit, or because the truck sitting higher is creating some kind of turbulence?

UPDATE:

I'd like to take this time to notate the term "Operator Error"

So this morning we had a little snow. I had to put the truck in "Auto" on the transfer case switch. Apparently my truck does not like to operate above 70mph in "Auto". So I pulled over and switched it into "2" for 2 wheel drive and the vibrations went away.

Leveling kits cause a slight vibration in auto 4wd at high speed. I run the RC level lift with no problems so far but only have 3000 miles on it. I've notice a very slight vibration in auto 4wd. Just put my new wheels and tires on. Here's a pic. zynyse5u.jpg

Guys, have another question. Wheel spacers? I'm trying not to spend a lot of money and trying to keep my factory 18's. I'm looking for a wider stance and was thinking wheel spacers. I don't know much about them. Was looking at this kit.
