I was in my local Auto Zone the other day searching for AVS Ventshade door sill protectors (not available, can't find there web cite on there products packaging either).

Anyway I did see that Dickie's work wear people have some universal cloth slip-on seat covers and was wondering if anyone has tried them. I build Allison transmissions for the Duramaxes and need to protect my leather seats from trans fluid, etc. They also have them for rear seat, if no ones tried these yet, I'll probably be the first. Thank you.

I installed these CalTrend covers, took about an hour.

They fit really good, $400 from AutoAnything.com

Anyone find a good set of rear seat covers for their gmc/chevy crewcabs? I have a 2014 denali and I'd like to keep my rear seats in decent condition seeing how I have two small children who sit in the back.

I bought from shearcomfort.com

In B.C

Heavy Duty , custom fit and velcrove connections. They cost for front about 260.00 and back 260.00

Depending on your choice. I went with the camo style and they are water proof, dog proof, rip proof....

Having said that they deliver fast and reputable and I would buy again. They are like unbelieveable !!!

I researched alot of seat covers ie: from cabella's, and they were half the material for the quality of Shearcomfort.

Oh, they are also custom seat covers ... designed exactly for the seat.

Not a generic seat cover that sags, etc.

So I didn't like my stock cloth seats and I have a 3y/o so I wanted seat covers. Custom fit $450 Clazzio seat covers weren't in my budget. I did some searching and review reading and settled on taking a chance ordering FH Group Delexe Leatherette Seat Covers, Part # PU007115 Black. I figured for $69.99 shipped with free returns on Ebay it would be worth a shot. I hadn't seen many installed pics.

Install took about 2 hours. I needed (and luckily had) a metal wire coat hanger to use to remove the rear headrests (see pics) and I also used it to fish the straps through in the back....the back seat by far was the most painfull to do. Overall it took 2 hours.

The look and feel is pretty decent for what you'd expect $69 would get you. I think over time they'll soften up and get the wrinkles out. The pics are Fresh out of the bag and installed so they'll look a little more crumpled up right now. I'll keep things posted if they wear ok or not.

They definitely don't look horrible. I'm wondering if I should pick these up just to protect my stock leather from the kids in the back...

Are these specifically made for these truck or generic fit?

    • Are you going to take long trips in it?  If so, try out the seats in the various trims. For me the lower trim level seats were not comfortable.
    • I have a 2016 that I bought new and still own. I'm around 129,000 miles now. The biggest problem was a transmission failure about 2 years ago around 95000 miles. No warning, just failed while driving down a back road. A reman GM transmission installed and it's been fine ever since. A few other minor problems along the way. I am in no hurry to replace it. It's been paid off long ago and do plan on driving this as long as I can.   I will admit I am leery about all the additional electronics in the newer models and feel that it is just more potential problems. I think there's actually more than I would have wanted in this 2016 but so far so good. I think even if something major like lifter failure happened, it would still be cheaper to at worst, drop a new engine in than buy a new vehicle.
    • I’ve own several successful businesses. I’ve bought homes and lived in different states. I’d witness several generations buy homes and survive in different economic circumstances. You get awful sippy when people have different experiences than you do. You live a life. I’ve lived a life. It seems our experience has been different. You can point out generalized statistics. Some people learn how to thrive when the odds are against them. Living in different states does make a difference in a persons quality of life and economic outcomes and opportunities. That’s a fact Jack. It’s my truth, my life. Hard work and long hours the right environment made my families life easier. And yes moving to a different state increased the odds of that happening. Stats are generalized. People who thrive don’t make excuses. They beat the odds. Others get mad and point to those statistics. I guess that’s you. My post pointed out how you helped people beat the odds. Somehow your panties got in a wad. Go figure.
    • Good question, I don't remember for sure but I believe it was the HD. I will check and get back to you.
