bluetooth not working all the time

I have had my 2014 sierra for a month now and i have noticed that my iphone 4 connects sometimes and others it doesn't.

the weird thing is that when i go to the "manage phone" screen it says connected. then when i switch back to the previous screen, it says "no phone

connected"

i drop the phone from the list and reconnect and it says the same thing again.

i have even tried unparing the phone and repairing.

no dice.

has anyone else experienced this? should i go to the dealer?

I experienced the same problems you did, here are some things that I observed in my situation.

When I plug iphone 5 directly to usb it is usually recognized and every thing works fine. The next time I get in my truck, Bear with me here, I try to connect via bluetooth and Intelllink says the device isn't recognized, I dismiss that, turn on my iphone 5 go to Itunes and start playing songs using Iphone interface and get it to recognize. So, what I've experienced is that the Intelllink recognizes the device the last way you used it.

Here is how I figured this out, when I have my phone plugged in via USB then shut truck down, the next time I get in and dont plug phone via USB I get a message saying no media found. On the flipside if I'm streaming music via bluetooth then shut truck down, when I get in truck next day the music picks up right where it left off the day before via bluetooth without me doing anything.

Hope this helps.

About 3 weeks ago I had the transfer case and peek odometer recalls done, along with the IntelliLink/MyLink software update. Ever since, my Verizon Droid DNA which use to flawlessly connect to bluetooth every time, now connects then disconnects each time there's a notification on the phone, i.e. text message, email, etc. It will shortly thereafter reconnect, but I can't make phone calls via bluetooth once this happens. Every now and then, it will also enter a connect/disconnect loop which won't stop until I shut off the bluetooth on my phone. I've tried unpairing then pairing again with no changes.

There have not been any updates/changes to my phone. I suspect it has something to do with the IntelliLink/MyLink update and haven't gone to the dealer since I will be upgrading my phone soon. Unfortunately, I'm considering the LG G3 which I read here has the same problem

I've got a Samsung Galaxy S4 active and since day one it has Bluetooth pairing issues. I thought it might be my phone because it's had a rough life, but basically I'll be listening to music via pandora and let's say I skip to a new song, it goes quiet and no music, or sometimes it'll start playing music through the phone speaker. Sometimes hitting the media Bluetooth button reestablished connection and other times it says not connected or something like that. Rebooting usually works but it's a pain nonetheless.

On my iPhone 6 Plus, it connects every time and phone calls are flawless but playing music through BT is hit and miss, lately its mostly miss and I tried it several times today and it never would work. I haven't tried the usb connection but may have to if I drive any distance.

Update and possible solution. Last week I remembered that I had shut off the NFC on my phone and that was when the trouble started. Turned NFC back on and the Droid DNA connected flawlessly every time. No issues whatsoever with Bluetooth with NFC on.

Last Sunday I upgraded to the Droid Turbo 64GB, awesome phone BTW, and had the same issue. NFC off and Bluetooth would connect and disconnect. NFC on and no problems at all.

Phone works great with MyLink again.

Wonder why NFC would need to be on to stabilize Bluetooth connectivity?

i wonder if there is a software issue with the intelilink system possibly a firmware update needed?

I have a 2014 Chevy 1500 LTZ crew cab with an iPhone 8 and most of the time it won’t connect when it says it’s connected and I have to reboot my iPhone for it to work
