OGM-1 not compatible with 2013 models?

I spoke to Walt earlier this evening about the OGM-1. My initial question was whether I can control Pandora on my iPhone using the steering wheel control once the OGM is installed. However once Walt realized my vehicle is a 2013 and has the OEM navi-radio, he said I cannot swap out the factory nav-radio for the OGM. So has anyone managed to swap OEM navi-radios for the OGM in the 2013s? I have a 2013 Yukon XL SLT 2500

If I understand correctly, it's not the fact that it's a 2013, but you may have the DELUXE Bose system, also known as CENTERPOINT. Which uses a different style amplifier that receives a constant (non variable) signal from the factory head unit. The actual volume level is controlled by the LUX amplifier (smart amp), via a digital signal from the Body Control Module (BCM). I have not spoken with Walt, but I have done some research on this subject as I have wanted to replace my standard BOSE amp with a LUX amp because it has almost twice the power as the standard amp. I have an OGM-1 that I purchased used from another member on this forum installed in my '13 Sierra HD. But I only had the NON navigation standard BOSE audio system . It may be possible to do this using a Metra GMOS-LAN-7 adapter, but I would NOT expect ANYONE to warranty ANY damage to the radio OR amplifier if it fails and lets the magic smoke out (fry the radio or amp). So far I am still doing research mainly because I haven't found the nerve to try it yet..........

Thanks for the info. I have the Bose system with the navi-radio. I think I will call Walt again and get him to over the info again and write it down this time. I'll post back back with what he says exactly.

If you pm me the last 8 of your vin, I will be happy to look up the build of your truck on global connect and let you know if it is UQA (standard bose) or Y91 (what they refer to as center point). If you have the '13 HDD nav, I think you would be very sad indeed to trade that for any aftermarket unit period. The hdd units are great and you will definitely lose some functionality and integration by swapping that out.
