Problem with "lug" nuts...........need alittle adv

I have a 2002 3500 Chevy van with a Quigley 4X4 setup (Warn straight axle type). Yes I know I should be calling Quigley.......but thought I could  get this answer today.

OK..............when built I had A/R Outlaw wheels installed on it. Well after to winter....it has taken it's toll on the wheels and centers and lugs. So, i dug out the new "steel wheels" that came on the van originally. (which where in the Mag boxes) along with the stock lugs, chrome centers (they had cut the 2 front centers out). I had new tires mounted on the OEM wheels and went to pull the mags and install the new OEM wheels with tires. The rears went fine, but the front had different size rotor studs. They had to buy 16 for the rear and a different 16 for the front. The OEM lug nuts do not fit, so I used the mag lugs temporarily. The front studs seem to be 9/16 with 18 thread....this the closest I can come to it right now. The OEM's seem to be metric. SO, my question is......can a lug similar to the OEM be bought to fit the front studs in order mount the center caps and black cap retainers?

You should be able to buy lugnuts at the local auto parts store.  Just make shure you get the proper "dish" on the nut so that it will not loosen up on the wheel.  I don't know if they will have the ones with the "threads" for the center caps though...  ???

What I think you're asking is if you can buy a lugnut that has the outside threading on it to screw on the decorative black (or grey/silver) lug covers.

 

If so, I have not yet seen an aftermarket lug nut supplier that does this.  Your only source is GM.  Sorry!  

 

Unless someone else out there has found an aftermarket company that now does this.

You might could possibly replace the studs in the hubs with the wrong size/thread pattern with new studs of the correct size/thread pattern.  I'm not sure if you could find such studs but it is just a thought.
