2003 1500HD transfer case identication and input shaft spline count co

I have a 2003 1500hd with 6lt gas and 4L80 transmission. transfer case is a auto track np246. Question is: dose the input shaft have 32 splines or 27 splines. I picked up one today and it has 27 spline and im afraid its not going to fit. tag numbers on my truck are 246gm 1257 7835 8 28 02k1 272. the used one I pick up is 246gm 1575 3790 9 01k3 272. please help. there's seems to be no clear cut and dry determination when it comes to the 1500hd. This was a special order truck back in its day and was the owner of a Chevy dealerships when I bought it. came with options that were none orderable so I was told. Brushed aluminum interior trim, retractable moon roof, bose stereo, g80 locking diff, ect, ect, ect.

take the front shaft off and count them,

 

why a used POS t case ?

 

why not take it apart and fix whats broken ( real world repair )

Out of shear nessitity to get back on the road to go to work. I will rebuild my original tcase but it will take me weeks to get the parts shipped up here to Alberta Canada. That's I'd once I've broke it down and accually determined what parts will be required.

The front driveshaft splines will be the same as the input shaft going into the tcase from the transmission????. My 2 cents. I'm asking for help not sarcasm!!!

i was not being sarcastic,sorry i thought it was the front output splines you meant

 

 

i live in Alberta and nothing takes weeks to get ,,,,idk where you order from but ,,,,
