Power wire when door open? GMC Sierra

Hey guys, wondering if anyone knows where I could tap into power for a small l.e.d light when I open any of the doors. Im installing the laser l.e.d light that shines the gmc logo on the ground from the bottom of each door. So I need to know where I can grab power from inside each door panel. 2007 gmc sierra crew, gmt-900 Thanks!!

I would consider an add a fuse off of the courtesy lamp fuse and running the passenger side under the dash and both through the rubber harness cover that goes from the truck to the door(s).

theres one mounted in each door.

the wires will be inside the door panel as the light will be drilled into the bottom of the door, must be some power wire that gets power when the door is opened inside the panel....

You can tap into the door ajar signal wires. They are located in the door panel. This is what I tapped into to install my Amp Research power steps.It should be

Drivers side: Grey /Black wire Passenger side: Tan / White wire

You have to go beyond the wiring harness that goes to the window and door locks. It's the run of wires that goes past that.

I need them to come on automatic only when the door is open. I doubt you wired your amp so it only turns on when the doors are open.

Amp Research is a brand name. The power was for retracting side steps.
