Bluetooth music streaming - problem?

When my wife's iphone streams music via bluetooth, the artist/song information appears on the intellilink.

 

When I stream music from my Samsung galaxy S4, I get the No artist message, but it still plays music.

 

I'm guessing the software favors apple? Am I missing something?

Mine briefly pops up with unknown artist when I switch songs, then displays the active song - but only for a moment. It then displays the name and artist of another song (call it SONG A). SONG A is always the same song. No matter how many times I switch things up it always defaults back to displaying SONG A.

 

Does yours briefly display the correct song then switch to no artist message?

 

I am also using a Samsung....Note 3 though
