That's just what they were offering. The msrp on the truck was $50,415.00 they had it marked down to $44,795 then they gave another $1,750 off of that. So $43,045. The discount I posted from memory... Was a little off. It was actually $7,370 off with all ensentives applied. No haggling, no BS. It was quite possibly the easiest deal I've ever made on a new vehicle

Damn! Mine has an MSRP $45,530 but it looks like you have 4wd and Z71 right off as difference. Nice deal though!! Did you have to order or you got lucky and found it on lot??

Yup loaded up SLT Z71 4x4. I was looking for one for about a week, almost went with a Silverado but they couldn't get any of the trucks they had on their list from other dealers I wanted, cause most were being used as demos so I found this one 500miles away and made a day out of it.

I got pretty lucky cause the dealer wasn't even supposed to get this truck with a 6.2. They placed a order for almost the same truck only with a 5.3. my truck was actually built for someone else but my dealer's list of options was closer to what was on this truck so they got it instead of whoever else that ordered it. Someone somewhere is pretty upset I bet.

Hello everybody! I've been needing a new truck for quite awhile and the March pricing on the 14 Silverado's has me about to pull the trigger! My 02 Avalanche has about had it. I wanted to get y'all's thoughts on the deal I'm about to make.

Black 2014 Silverado LT 4WD Z-71

All Star Edition Crew Cab Standard Bed

3.42 gears, 5.3 engine, Leather seats

MSRP - $46,115

After all offers and incentives $ 38,706

I'm hoping to get around $,3000 to $3,500 on the trade in, pay about $25,000 down and take the low financing rate on the rest.

Looking forward to joining the forum and already learning lots of good information! Thanks everybody.

Well you scored! I hope to have mine next week! Been a 7 week wait but I'm not complaining. Kinda cool waiting for something specially made for me!

Go for it! I don't think you will have an ounce of regret! And welcome!

Now, till the end of the month, should be a good time to get a good deal. Dealers are trying to get their monthly and quarterly sales numbers in and could have big bonus/incentives from GM riding on a making a couple additional sales. I would be hitting the dealerships hard right now if I was still looking. The more dealers you contact, the better chance you have of finding one that needs that ONE MORE sale and may even take a loss on one to get there.

I would also strongly advise anybody currently shopping to shop around for financing BEFORE you step foot in a dealership. They can and will give you a good rate, but only if they have too. Go shop around for the best rate, even better, go get pre-approved at a good rate before stepping foot in the dealer.

Never negotiate your monthly payment, ONLY negotiate an OTD price. A salesman/dealer can play too many games when negotiating a monthly payment... by taking the financing out of the equation, you are taking away one of their tools they use to confuse you.

I shopped around and found a local credit union who pre-approved me for 1.49% up to 72 months. So I walked into the dealership knowing the WORST rate I would pay would be 1.49% and simply negotiated my final price on the truck. Turns out, after we agreed on a deal, they ran my credit and said that GM/ALLY authorized them to beat any financing offer I currently had, so they ended up offering me an even lower rate than that.

I would advise anyone to never take the financing incentives, as they usually aren't a good deal, and often times, by taking the financing incentive, you lose out on a cash incentive. In order to get a good deal, you need ALL the cash incentives. I think the current financing incentive is offering what, 3.9%, 4.9%, 5.9%, etc...?!? these are not good rates, at least not if you have good/decent credit. By going and getting pre-approved elsewhere, you will most certainly get a better rate than these offers.

Oh yeah I feel yeah... Its just if I was to go into the GMC dealer and start checking boxes.... I'd still have my exact truck. Well maybe plus a sunroof

What did they sell you the truck for minus the trade?

The truck price was $28000, MSRP was something like $38500. I owed 20 on my trade so it was a wash.

Has anyone gotten the pop-up $1000 off coupon online when building a truck this month?

Yeah,

I was sitting on a Private Offer Coupon since Feb 11th,,,,but it wasn't stackable against the Presidents Day Private Offer. It was good until March 31st- tonight.

I ended up using it March 29th on a Sept build (before $1500 price hike) 1W/T regular cab....plus I did a double trade-in that included a 2009 Pontiac G5, that had just gotten the 500 recall cash thrown at it on March 28th. Both offers stacked with March rebates to make for one cheap 1 W/T !!!!!! Especially with the trades wiping out the 7% sales tax.

    • I agree, simplicity and reliability matter more as vehicles get more complicated. A V8 work truck option with fewer electronic features and a stronger warranty would definitely appeal to a lot of buyers who use their trucks for real work. Customizing it with trusted outfitters is often the best way to get exactly what you need
    • I’ve heard similar complaints from newer vehicles where the factory “premium” systems don’t always live up to expectations. A good installer should be able to improve the sound without turning it into a bass-heavy setup. I’d look into upgrading the front speakers, adding a quality DSP amplifier, and possibly improving sound deadening first—those changes usually make a much bigger difference than just adding a subwoofer. Hopefully someone local can recommend a reputable installer in the Las Vegas/St. George area.
    • Do you remember that Harley Davidson was more successful (solvent) when it produced about 60% of the market demand (by design) and forced wait times of up to three years? Even when your turn came around it was, "Take what we are giving you or move to the back of the line and start over". HUGE markup's were 'normalized' and dealer killed. 40% markup and no floor plan? What's not to love? Greed will kill them yet. They have surplus production and customer base is tanking. And still they think nosebleed pricing will work.
    • The engine was done as part of the 6.2 recall?   You'd have to see if your VIN also has the 6.2 engine special coverage on it.  Coverage number is N252494003.  If you have this, your engine is covered under this and NOT the GM replacement part engine warranty which is 3yr/100k from the date of install.  The 3yr/100k mi warranty is in effect for non warranty purchases.     This is not any different if it was replaced under warranty without a recall or special coverage.  So if you had a 5.3 and it popped at 3 years in at 50,000mi during the 5yr/60k powertrain, the replacement engine would not get the 3yr/100k, and instead gets the remainder of the 5yr/60k as coverage.     So N252494003 gives 10 years or 150,000mi of coverage, which ever comes first, starting at the vehicle in service date.  So if your in service date is 01/01/2022, N252494003 gives you special coverage of the engine until 01/01/2032 or 150,000mi, whichever comes first.  So if your start date was 01/01/2022, you'd have left 5 years and 4 months (lets round to august 1st), or 62,000mi left of coverage.   So you need to know your in service date to know how much coverage is left.
    • Okiee dokie there bud, way to take things to the extreme.   I guess you missed the whole point and take things way to serious. I installed different EV6 style injectors that just so happen to be larger in my car running the same LQ4 engine and with a better spray pattern than the stock style injectors and I noticed no difference in the idle quality. Kinda was my round about way of saying that even if you put the same size but better style injectors in your truck, you will likely see the same thing.    I'm sure you're great to have conversations with in person if that's how you act through a keyboard. One little things sets you off and now I guess my dick is all up in your face.
