Power stearing gear box

I just swapped out my power steering gear box on a 1997 chevy c1500 5.0. With a junk yard gear box.The new gear box turns and feels good with no excess play and no signs of leakage. But when the truck is sitting still at idle it feels like there is no power steering. Feels ok and turns just fine when driving and the RPMs are increased. But as soon as the RPMs are lowered it is hard to turn the wheel. The power steering felt fine prior to this project. Does anyone have any suggestions to look for or check? Have any of you had this problem and solved it?

I figured out my problem. My truck is 2wd and the truck I pulled from is 4wd. 4wd trucks require a higher output power steering pump obviously because they will have bigger tires to turn. Which explains the reduce in power steering at idle speeds. Well, a lesson lived is a lesson learned. How fun!
