Placed order on new Denali

After considerations on several new tucks, the wife and I narrowed our choice down to the Denali. We have been married going on 4 years now and are ready to start a family. Mini vans were not an option. Since I have a sports car and a motorcycle, I was wanting something that could serve the purpose as a family hauler. Up to this point I have been using my brother's truck when I needed to get mulch or move furniture.

 

We chose the 4x2 short bed White Diamond, with sunroof, with the 5.3. It has everything we need so hoping we will be happy. We bought my wife's car from the dealership so they were good to go.

Finally received an order number from the dealer. Was told by GM the order is at the broadcast stage with a target production date of 4/21/2014. Broadcast stage is the stage right before production gathering all the parts to make the vehicle.

Got off chat with GM rep and was told vehicle was in product code 4B00 (Bayed, vehicle is waiting on transportation or pulled for quality control). She gave me a VIN as well.

 

Is the process usually this fast?

No, it's not always this fast.

 

I ordered on Feb 10th...truck was built around 4/7...as of late last week it was still sitting in Mexico awaiting transport.

 

Consider yourself lucky ;-)

Sorry to hear some guys are having to wait so long...I bet it will be worth it though. I just picked up my Denali yesterday that I special ordered. I placed the order on March 12th and the dealer had it on the lot April 18th.

I wonder if it being a 4x2 and it having 5.3 V8 has anything to do with it. Other than the driver's alert package and sunroof, we didn't add anything else.

Talked to GM again yesterday and was told the truck is in Mesquite , TX. My dealer has it listed on their website as in transit and he emailed me to say it should be on their lot Friday the 3rd of May. Wondering about the incentives now.
