Driveshaft issues

Hello all! I just recently swapped out my old TH350 trans (kinda sploded all over the road) for a (newish) TH400 in my 1984 GMC 1500 and I've run into a little problem with my driveshaft. In my haste to replace the transmission I neglected to properly research the neck lengths on the old TH350 and my replacement TH400 and now I find myself at an impass. My current drive shaft is of the stock nature (I think), one piece and measures out to 69 1/2 inches and needs to be 72 inches (an impossibile length to achieve in steel driveshafts I'm told) to properly mate up with my TH400 transmission. I've spoken to several drivetrain/shaft shops and they've all told me I need to get a two piece... but seem to forget how to speak because they never go beyond telling me that and then shrugging their shoulders in either confusion, or apathy when I ask them the best way to go about properly sizing, mounting and/or otherwise finding said two piece. I've been digging through the mountains and mountains of data on the interwebs, forums and the like and try as I might the closest I can come to an answer is the same thing I've already been told. 72 inches is too long, you need a two piece.

 

So my question here would have to be this I guess: Is there a two piece configuration available that I can simply bolt up, or is this going to be a frankenshaft configuration where I piece part it together?
