bbviper Posted February 21, 2003 Posted February 21, 2003 I am from ND and called several alignment shops and off-road shops and they said they never heard of ford torison keys on a gm vehiclce. Am I asking the right questions? I said I wanted to lift up the front end so it would be level with the rear. SOmeone please help??
MarkD Posted February 21, 2003 Posted February 21, 2003 Don't expect anyone in a suspension/dealer shop to be knowledgeable about "tweaks" like this. They never are.
toddoughty Posted February 21, 2003 Posted February 21, 2003 www.cepek.com Then go to suspension, then chevy/gmc, then page 4, and then go to the 2.5 leveling kit. This shows you what you are looking for. Then maybe you can get a better idea and go to a Ford dealer, or order them from here. Mine are sitting in my office until this weekend.
Shaners Posted February 22, 2003 Posted February 22, 2003 There are several guys here that are running the F*rd keys. I have even read some peoples testiments, where they swear that the keys that they purchased from "Hills Leveling Kit" were F*rd keys with the numbers ground off. There was also a thread on this site, that said that GM makes 4 different keys, and that you can buy a GM key that will do want you want. I can't confirm the info, because I haven't looked into it... There is no doubt that you can get a set of F*rd keys cheap and they will lift your trucks front more than your stock GM keys. Just remember to get an alignment when you are done...
elboberino Posted February 22, 2003 Posted February 22, 2003 Try going here: For eight lug. For six lug. That seems a little expensive...$150.00 I know there are some online places where you can get 2 F*rd keys for $45.00.....now that's much more reasonable! By the way, do a search on this site for the F*rd Torsion keys and you'll pull up numerous posts about them!
kenhilton Posted February 23, 2003 Posted February 23, 2003 go to www.parts.com. Select ford and there you have it. it lists the online dealers through them where you can buy these parts. List price on these is $22.22. Shop around on this site. You can find them for $16.00 easily. The ford part # is XL3Z5B328CA Here is a link to the page ready for you Ford keys
