Truck wouldn't start

I had a incident yesterday where I put the key in the ignition and the ignition was locked it would not budge. I unlocked and re locked the doors to get unlocked. I had to finally remote start the truck while I was sitting in it and then stick the key in and it worked. Has anyone else had this issue. This is the first time it had done this.

I've heard of this happening. The guy called roadside assistance and they were able to help but I don't know what they did to fix it.

Turn your wheel a little in either direction to take steering wheel lock load off the ignition switch cylinder. This happens to me at least once a week because of the way I pull in my driveway and is now a non issue once I figured out what the problem was.

Yea this is a security feature. If you turn the steering wheel while the truck is off, it locks the wheel and the ignition cylinder. Put the key in and then tweak the wheel and it should unlock.
