I have been told by Trailbazer SS owners the way around the lack of warrenty when you get a tune is to get another pcm and tune it. If there is a issue where your truck has to be scaned put your old pcm in. Has anyone on here gotten an extra PCM?

What he said, only dealer can marry a new PCM to your vehicle, that was so last year.... Lol

Correct, not able to swap ECM on these series trucks without going to the dealer which means GM will know you swapped the ECM. The TCM is located inside of the transmission and not something that can be swapped easily.

Same as everyone else stated. The dealership I was talking to said they started to put a stop to this on the corvettes & camaros; now all the vehicles.

Nope, if you are worried about warranty issues in the new K2 trucks I would not tune the ECM. GM will know it has been tuned this time if they look, the ECM has a flash counter and GM knows where the flash counter should be, if you are ahead of it they will pull a copy of the calibration and compare it to stock. Then you can say bye-bye to your powertrain warranty.

This is all only if you bring the truck in for something that gets into major repairs of the powertrain.
