best place to sell 2013 sierra 6.2 max trailer?

I've got a 2013 Sierra SLT with the 6.2L and the max trailer package. I know this is a semi-rare setup and I wasn't sure where to try to sell it at? It has ~14,000 miles on it now. I'm looking to get a commuter vehicle so this beast has to go. The dealer will give me 34-35K, which isn't bad. I was hoping to get at least 36-37K for it, but they won't budge. NADA retail is 40K and trade-in is ~35-36K WITHOUT the max trailer option, since it isn't listed on their site. Any suggestions?

its a one year old truck, you're gonna have to take a loss. You probably paid 42-43 for it? 35k aint bad.

you could try CarMax to see what theyll give you and use it as a bargaining chip at the dealer.

Or try to sell private and get your 36-37

I've never tried carmax, but I've read decent things about them. However, trading it in might be the best deal. If I sold it out-right, I'd have to pay sales tax on the new vehicle and I'd lose $750 in dealer trade-in allowance. This could be a $3000 difference (sales tax is 6.25%). Plus, for me, this sales tax on this vehicle purchase will not be tax deductible because my income tax for the year will be greater than my sales tax for my purchases.

Put it on cars.com and sell it yourself

What state are you in? Auto-tv.com is also a good classified publication

I am in Illinois. I think I would have to get $36-37K to break even with the sales tax I would have to pay vs. trading it in. It might be possible, but I'm not too sure.
