Hopefully you can document as much of the engine swap as possible. Are you doing it yourself?

Yep, Dad and I will be doing all the work ourselves. Just another engine swap to add to his resume lol!

I ordered headers, and ARP bolts last night. Went to Auto zone today, and picked up a Melling oil pump, and a pair of Mechanix Wear Gloves.

A gmt800 with an upgraded 5.3 and suspension, what a dream!

I would be torn between an '02 and an '06 if I needed to replace mine. My dad and I drove around some gnarly and sandy trails on Monday and his truck was amazingly solid and capable. He stayed in 2wd the entire time and never had any issues in the sandy river beds where others including me had trouble.

And his cabin is also quieter than mine...

I'm glad you didn't sell for a plastic 900.

Just a set of BBK Ceramic Coated Shorty Headers. I know everyone says to buy long tubes etc, but I've had shorty's before on my 2005, and I was happy with them. Just looking for the sound really.
