Not trying to tell anyone when to change their oil, just a little example from an experience (older) driver. Most of my working life Ive driven around 60k miles a year, Ive owned many trucks of all models diesels and gas. I deal with heavy equipment in my field. When I found out about synthetics I jumped on. I went extended drain, and sent the oil out to be check often. I was able too double the hours on my heavy eq in the field between changes. My cars and trucks I would go 25k filter every 12k or once a year. Now days I go by the owners manual till the warranty ends, then full synthetics extended drain. I never lost an engine in the 100 plus cars and trucks Ive owned. Most people would end up changing their oil once a year and save money in oil changes.

Don't worry about my oil changes, and I wont tell you how long you should wear your underwear. I'll change it when I want to, so get over it.

Yeah, but what about the hazardous waste that goes with it. I hope you don't wear them for 7500 miles?

 

My oil is recycled, so what was once old, is new again. Just sayin!
