Auxillary input 04 Silverado

I have an 04 Silverado with the factory head unit. I want to add an auxillary input cord to play an ipod or other media player. Is there a kit to make this work? It looks straight forward as far as the installation. Any recomendations on where to mount the plug in?

There is a kit. I currently use it in my 04.

 

You can get it on Amazon for about $100. It's called iSimple Isgm575 I believe.

 

It's a little box that plugs inline to the radio and hijacks the XM signal.

 

I have pictures of how I installed mine, not the back of the radio but where I routed it if you have a center console.
