A couple weeks ago I had her truck parked in the street hooked to my trailer and my friend daughter hit the front. I has been very stressful as my wife is leaving in advance of me to Oklahoma tommorrow.

The truck barely fit in the booth on base but I was able to get it done

I took advantage of the situation and fixed some oxidation on my back bumper and window garneshing. I also put the premium/platinum front bumper and grills. This bolted right on but the inner fender, bumper fillers, air dam, impact absorber and core support top cover are different.

i have a few things to do to button it up but the wife is estatic about it and loves the new front end. This whole project cost 2000 dollars but my ins paid me 3500, so i am happy happy happy lol

Just curious because I have been out of a bodyshop too long. So is that base coat, color, then clear. Also guessing you were spraying with HVLP. Paint has started to take a dump on one side of the wife's Tahoe so has me thinking.

By the way, it looks nice!

i use sherwin williams products as my paint rep takes real good care of me and gives me consistane pricing were dupont did not with their erratic price increases my truck is just plain black with no mid coat so i can get away with using what they call a factory pack black with saves me a tone of money since it is not mixed in the store. It is a standard 1:1 base in their ATX line and a 4:1 clear fro . Their finish one line. I painted the whole truck with one quart of which made a 1/2 gallon reduced and a full gallon kit of clear netting 1.25 gal. I put on 4 wet coats of clear so dont have to worry about chips and other issues. As for the paint gun I use a iwata arnest lph400 HVLP with a 1.3 fluid tip for my base and clear at 40psi and a 3-4 inch fan. I paid 750 for this gun but it is well worth it as it will lay clear with no orange peal eliminating cutting and buffing. 20140503_154859_zps6vn6elnt.jpg This grill is freshly painted for a customer and you can see it came out like glass strait from the booth
