BFG question

Hey guys, I'm looking to buy new wheels and tires for my 05 2500HD. I'm planning on 16" black Mickey Thompson Classic III, with 285 BFG All Terrains. Now I love the look of the white lettering, but everywhere I've looked it says black sidewall, is it just on the "E" rated tires that they don't have the white lettering? It sounds stupid, but if I'm gonna dish out that much money, I want to get the look I want. Anybody have any input, or a link of where I can find "D" rated tires.

For your truck you need a E rated tire. If you are buying all new wheels and tires I would go with 17" rims and the 285/70/17 E rated with white letters like you want.

Where can I find 285/75/16 BFG AT with white lettering on the sidewall? Or are all BFGs lettered on one side?

Try www.bfgoofrichtires.com, they have a link to dealers in your area. Looks like the only option in that size is an E rated tire with BSW only.

I was under the impression that all BFG tires had letters on one side and regular black wall on the other so you could choose which look you want? I guess not. Well I'll have to either get a 295/75/16 or 305/70/16 then.

This may help you decide....

305/70R/16 I know, mud tires, noisy as hell but great in the mud & snow.Next set the white letters go in.
