New to forum. 8.1 big block help/opinions

Yeah i blackbear tune will help you out quite a bit with that 8.1. And a turbo will do wonders

How do I get that tune? And do u got any info on turbo?

Turbo will be a lot of work and trouble, not to mention if you don't have one it can't fail, lol. Tune would be a good idea if you want it to drive better. Looks like a great truck. My grandpa has one with slightly fewer miles and it's great.

No they send you a programmer that records your driving then you email them the file, then they modify it and email you the file which you upload it to your truck with the unit using the computer.

The only problems that I know of are the crank position sensor. When they go in the 8.1 the motor basically just stalls.

What u mean using the computer? Like plug your computer into the programmer?

The Autocal device is a bit pricey but worth it and it makes the process easier. You use your home vomputer to srt things up. Then go take the device to your truck and copy the stock tuning. Then set it to log your driving.

 

When done take it inside and use your computer to obtain the data and email it to Justin at Black Bear Performance

I woudnt turbo it. Tuning mskes it feel better ehen you drive. It will respond quicker
