If you've never done one before, it can be a royal pain in the ass. Especially if you live in the northeast, and the vehicle has seen more than 4 salty winters. The more winters it's seen, the harder it will be. Not impossible - just a bit of work. Air tools help tremendously, but I've done them in the past with basic hand tools once or twice.

Grab a manual or an online printout, get up early on a Saturday, and make a day of it (especially in the northeast). If you get them both done sooner than that, even better.

Oh yeah, even better - forgot about Youtube.

Someday I'll remember all these newfangled internet wonders ....

Thanks all. Knocked it out last Saturday. 4 hours for the first one .. many runs to the parts store for axle nut socket, wheel pulliers. First one did not want to come off the axle. What a pain. 1 hour for the second one, piece of cake.

Yeah they can be a real bitch sometimes - not one of the best designs automotive engineers have come up with. I long for the simple days of doing both bearings and races in 2 hours tops ... but we all know they don't build cars & trucks with mechanics in mind ....

Glad that worked out for ya.
