idiot in service dept.

Took my truck in to my Chevy dealer to do some warranty work. Needed the steering shaft greased (again) and I thought my truck leaned a little towards the driver's side. Which according to this website seems to be a somewhat common problem. I get this service advisor who is about 12 and been on the job a week (he told me).

Later in the day when I had decided he wasn't going to call me I called him. He informed me that I was right it did sag about an inch on the one side and he needed to talk to a supervisor. Which worried me, so I asked what was wrong. He then told me that I may have a bent frame??? or the springs, or something else,( I don't remember, because I kept thinking frame??) he really couldn't tell me til he talked to his super. I felt it wasn't that he didn't know, but couldn't tell me. Anyhow, after he talked to his super, they (or hopefully a mechanic) decided it was the springs and ordered me new ones.

Is this how they fixed the problem on any of your trucks? Am I getting the run around? I looked at my truck when I picked it up and everything looked normal. I have been in a small fender bender, but the body shop had said it was just the rear quarter panel. Am I just crazy?

In case it makes a differenc I have a 2002 Ext cab 2wd 1500

I have heard of people that have had problems with the rear springs sagging.

Also there are no torsion bars on your 2wd, so there is no way to crank up the left front like alot of us have done. The only fix would be a new stiffer coil spring on that corner.
