First Post - 2007 Silverado Heated Mirror help

Hey everyone this is my first post but I have enjoyed lurking and this is a great forum. I have a question I was hoping someone can help with. I have searched numerous mirror swap threads but still have one question.

 

My 2007 silverado passenger mirror cracked but still has all functions working, power fold, tilt etc. I order a glass only replacement but the one thing I cannot seem to do is remove the heated mirror wires from the old mirror safely to assemble on the new mirror glass. I thought they just clamped on but that doesn't seem to be the case. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? The picture of the words I am speaking about is below. Thanks in advance!

Never had to repair one. But to me it looks like they used heat shrink on the connectors. If that is the case then you will have to cut the heat shrink off. And replace it when you install the new one. But make sure it is heat shrink and not just a rubber cover.

In the past i thought they just pull off. Looks like they heat shrink over connector.

get a good hold on the glass and just wiggle it off , there tight probably has a little oxidation on it
