Windshield fogging up

Recommended Posts

Posted

With the southern humidity being bad this summer, my windshield is staying fogged up a lot to the point of having to use my windshield wippers going down the road. I've tried the obivious defrost button and diffent fan speeds and temps to try to correct the problem. Anyone else experiencing this?

Sounds like the moisture is on the outside of the window if you are using wipers, so you need to warm up the glass... or more likely keep the A/C blowing AWAY from the glass.. good luck..

It's going to be the same on any car in the summer, warm and humid outside, cold a/c inside makes for condensation on the outside. The only issue I have with it is that the wiper blades on the truck leave an inch wide spot where the passenger side blade stops its travel on the drivers side of the truck. It's not an issue in rain, but it's annoying in the mornings with the humidity. I will probably get some new blades soon and see if that makes a difference. Never had this problem with traditional blades, might have something to do with the beam style ones on the truck from the factory.
