I have a 99 Silverado Z71 with a stock rear locking diff (G80) is it possible to purchase this same one for the front end?  I dont think I want to spend $600 on the Elocker

Why, If you could add an eaton E-Locker, what wrong with the mechanical version?

I don't mean you couldn't put it in but I don't think the truck will go where you want to on slick surfaces.  I believe this is why they aren't offered from thhe factory.

Not 100% sure, but i think 4WP's is offering the new Eaton E-Locker.

He just means that a locker up front wouldnt handle too well since you need some slip to turn corners.

Any manually activated locker would work well tho.

My buddy has lockers front and back on his jeep, but he doesnt mind it much and doesnt drive it alot either.

can you explain that?  I really only want it for off roading

In that case, go to it.  Maybe.  I do think that negotiating hills sideways might be a problem and is one reason they aren't that popular.  It's worth a try anyway....let us know how it goes.

You can't put the G80 int the front.  Two completly different diffs.  Like comparing apples and bricks.  Also, as of now nobody makes anything to lock the front axle on an IFS Chevy.
