Aftermarket touch screen stereo upgrade

Hello all,

 

I'm new to this site and just wanting to get some feedback regarding an upcoming stereo upgrade I am planning. I drive a 2003 GMC Sierra Z71.

 

1. I am purchasing a Pioneer 6.1" Blue tooth touch screen stereo

2. I am wondering if there is a chassis adapter I will need to purchase...?

 

Any feedback from someone that has done this to their rig would be much appreciated.

I replaced mine and got everything from http://www.crutchfield.com/. They are really nice and hooked me up with everything that I needed.

I just did the pioneer 6.1 in my yukon. Crutchfield is who I went through and they sent me everything I needed. you will need to cut out a plastic piece that is in the back. when you pull the factory radio out you will notice on the back a little plastic prong that gives rear support to the unit. find the black plastic block that it goes into and cut it out. not a big deal by any means but nessecary to fit the new unit.
