Wheel bearing noise

I have a 2006 sierra z71 with 158,000 on it. I changed both front hubs around 3 months ago. Replaced them with timkins from rock auto. Everyone said Timkin were the best. I personally have never bought timkins, I've always used national/moog. Anyway around 55-60 mph I'm getting a wheel bearing noise. Only really noticeable around that speed. Doesn't get louder when turning one way or the other. Also seem that a slight clunking is associated with the noise too. Doesn't make the slight clunking or knocking when hitting bumps. Just whenever. At random. I have checked the for play by shaking tire when in the air no play. But they didn't have play before just noise when I changed them last time. Anyone ever had issues with timkin bearings from rock auto?

Your issue is not with the front bearings.. You have something else happening. My op.

Good luck!

Have you checked your tires for pressure and wear? May have a tire issue that didn't present itself until after the bearings were replaced.

No wear on front tires. Tires have probably close to a 1000 miles on them. Tires have been road forced balanced also. Also same time I got tires I replaced my idler and pitman arms. Everything else under front tight. Only thing I noticed was drivers front upper balljoint boot looked like it didn't have any grease in it, so I greased it. The boot must have a hole in it cause the grease came right out. I also changed my front diff fluid. It did have shavings in it. But oil was clean looking besides the shavings. What else would cause this noise?

So today I jacked up drivers side of truck and passenger side no wheel bearing noise or play. While shaking the tire back and fourth on hand at 3 o'clock one hand at 9 o'clock, I heard a knocking noise coming from pitman arm area. Pitman arm is new. It actually sounded like it was coming from above the pitman arm. Also when spinning drivers side tire as hard as I could while it was in the air I could hear a quiet ticking or clicking. Kind of similar to the wheel of fortune when the wheel is spun but very faint, loud enough to hear though. So is it possible the wheel bearing noise could actually be a cv axle? Thanks guys.
