I dont agree with this walk out one bit.  I sure hope they get the proper punishment from the school board.  I'll bet their parents are just as wacky as their kids...as a matter of fact, I bet the idea originated from a parent of these kids.  I for one support our president 100% and seeing this makes me sick.  I wish I could have 5 min with one of these kids!  It makes me angry seeing how the media makes it sound like this was done at every school in the US...  :)

I wish we would go ahead and get it over with.  Saddam has got to be loving this,"See guys! That's why we don't want freedom of speech".

Ryan, I think I heard the same thing this morning on Fox before I left for work...I didnt hear the exact details, but somone is pushing this issue.

I agree....lock 'em all up.  Its one thing to protest...its another to leave our country and go to the "enemy" to support them.  In my eyes, thats treason.

I agree with you.

Lots of people from my school walked out yesterday.  Most just did it to skip school.

I have no problems with protest. It is an important part of a garrenteed right to free speech. I do have a problem when people protest something they really know nothing about and there-for, are not qualified to protest on. That is the case with these students protest. The true reason they do not a war is their fear of being drafted. Alot of people who live in this great country have nothing better to do other then criticize and twist its constitution. Heven forbid they ever have to do anything to help make things better. The real difference is guys like myself and MountaineerTom are willing to die for there freedoms and way of life. I am not sure they are willing to do the same for us. Well I have spent over 2 collective years of my life in the middle east. I was there from the tanker wars in the 80's all the way through now. My best guess is that I will be back there befor the end of the year. I am painfully aware of the problems over there and this challange we are facing needs to be handled and put to rest for good. God Bless America and our President.

They had a special on MTV about a wk ago and they brought this up and a few people said they would flee to canada to avoid the draft. Amazing where has our american pride went?

If needed I will serve my county (give me a hummer and an M16 and im set)

I'll admit, going to the Armed Forces isn't my first choice of things to do, but if the phone rings, I will answer.

But I'd doubt  I'd be accpepted given my poor physical condition.
