Biggest tires on factory 18" wheel 2014 Z71

First I apologize, as I'm sure this has been asked many times.

As title says I'm looking for the biggest tire that will fit on my truck without rubbing or requiring any kind of a lift. Truck has 18" wheels, and I'm looking at a set of 275/70/18's. Anyone know if this will fit the bill?

Thanks

Thank you! Had some 275/70/18 Cooper ATP's installed today and they fit the bill perfectly!

Correction..... Went back and gave new tires a once over. On my Factory 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71 Crew cab with 275/70/18's do have min rubbing. I will for sure be putting a 2" leveling kit on the truck now.

Dang, I know others have ran that size without a level...and claimed no rubbing. Every brand of tire is slightly different though. If you don't want to do the level, it looks like a couple holes and a zip tie would fix that rubbing issue pretty fast.

Going by memory and sight, the Cooper ATPs appear to have bigger tread "lugs" than past sets of KO's. Honestly I think it just the tire. Picture(which I can't understand why it's sideways) doesn't do justice. It is just barely touching with wheel turned all the way. Friend of mine knows a guy who will install a 2" leveling kit for $200 parts included out the door. Plus alignment I'll be out $250ish and rubbing issue will be solved, truck will look better in my opinon and I'll have a little more ground clearance up front. :-)

Sounds like a good plan. They look better leveled anyway.

I know we're talking 1/2 ton here but I'm running 295/70R18 Terra Grapplers (34.5" tall) on my 3500HD which has a leveling kit and I get no rubbing lock to lock.

How much did that throw the speedo off? And would those tires clear without a leveling kit? (I have a 3500 also)

The speedo wasn't off by that much. Just to give you an idea, if your speedo shows 30mph your actually going about 31.50mph, if your speedo shows 70mph your actually going about 73.50mph. I'd say about a 3-4% difference from what the speedo shows to your actual speed. I leveled my truck before I bought these tires so I'm not sure if they will work without a leveling kit, I think they would but if you hit a large bump or pothole they might rub certain spots inside the wheel well if the wheels are turned in one direction or the other, like going around a corner. The only rubbing I got was on the drivers side and that was because the lower part of the wheel well sticks out there as the Parking Brake cable is behind it and pushes it out. All you have to do is tie back the lower part of the wheel well, which I did, and you're good to go.

Nice, quick and easy fix. Looks great. I'm new to your truck here, but line-x/rhino lining on it? Self roll on or dealer stuff? Blends nicely and very functional improvement.

Yeah, it's Line-X Extra Color Match all done by my Line-X dealer up here. The side steps are done with Line-X Aspart-X which is used for floors. This stuff is as tough as tank armor. The bed is done with Line-X over the rail.
