Video In Motion

Just picked up my truck from the dealer after having recalls and oil change along with a couple of repairs. One of the repairs was the radio update. The next morning I remote start my truck and after getting in I threw a SD card in and turned the key to the run position. After driving off I noticed that the cover art from the music playing was still showing on the 8 inch screen. For the hell of it I tried out a video off the SD card and had video while in motion. But after shutting the truck off and restarting this has not happened again. Since then it has stopped video when in drive as expected. Anyone have any idea how this might happen? If it did it once it has to be possible to get it to do it again. :dunno: Anyone?

Hello keakar,

I understand how frustrating it is not being able to turn on the A/C when you want. I'm very sorry that you've experienced this. Please feel free to send a private message if I can be of any assistance. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Eddie A.

There's been a thread about that modification here:

Hey everybody. Just to get back on track. I have video in motion every few days, AFTER the dealer worked on my truck. I'm trying to find out why this happening. It doesn't do it every time. It seems to have something (I think?) to do with the order I start my truck, insert SD card, mess with radio, and turn the key to the run position. Did they screw something up or did I just stumble onto a glitch that allows video in motion? It actually does seem somewhat dangerous when driving. Just trying to find out mechanically what is going on.

Come on, nobody? :dunno:

If you are pulling from the bottom of the barrel... Maybe a cable wasn't completely locked in and depending on random conditions (ie, loose connection) the player will or will not correctly detect the vehicle out of park. Or a pin was bent and the input signal is floating (thus random results). I guess you are stuck taking it back to the dealer.

Can you please send a video of how it is operating. It will be a lot easier to fix the problem if we can actually see what is going on.
