2015 2500 HD rear main seal leak

I bought a new 2015 HD 2500 Z71 and at 700 miles I noticed a leak, oil was pouring out from under truck. Dealer advised the rear main was leaking due to lack of sealant and found another seal not sealed in the bell housing. My friend bought a new Chevy diesel sedan with same issues, rear main leak, at 500 miles. Anyone else having these issues? Has dealer fixed it or is this going to be an ongoing issue and eventually be a lemon?

I would be asking if the pcv system is working correctly too

They assured me the PVC system was good. They said only problem was lack of sealant. I'm still skeptical
