TPMS, wont go into relearn mode

I apologize right off the start if this has been covered but here goes. I mounted some new rims and rubber on my truck, i have an ateq activator tool. I know the procedure but I can get it into relearn mode.

Key on, not running

Park brake on

Hold down lock and unlock same time on fob for 5 secs

Horn should honk, tire relearn should display

Using the ateq, drivers front, pass front, pass rear, drivers rear

Key off

No relearn mode... Just hear the doors lock/unlock, lights flash but no tire relearn mode comes on the dash. Is there some other way?? I used this method on my 2012 and it worked fine..

Thanks

It is different on the 2014. Go to the DIC, find the tire pressure screen and push the right arrow on the steering wheel. It is outlined in the owners manual which you can download off the Chevy website..

Pretty sure I tried this as well. Sitting at the tire pressure screen and it won't arrow right. Maybe I'll try holding it for 5seconds.

I am having the exact same problem but on a 2013 Sierra. Manual has 3 options to initiate Relearn mode: 1) tried fob lock/unlock (fob is aftermarket remote starter and this method does not work for me), 2) Menu option is missing from DIC, 3) truck has no trip reset stem. Anybody see this before?

Dealer for you. No factory fobs, no relearn. BTW, try the 2007-2013 section on this site for more info...

Thats what I figured. Might be cheaper in the long run to just buy a scan tool rather than pay twice a year for the local garage to re-learn.

Or you could maybe buy a factory fob

Before I order a factory RKE fob, what is the difference between the signal being sent from it and the signal sent from my aftermarket remote starter fob?
