I bought a 30" LED rigid bar a couple years ago but it was something like 800-900 dollars. Why are those so cheap? I want another LED bar and like the idea of paying 1/4th the cost but not if I only get 1/4th the quality.
PMurray Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 Was this bar connected to the high beams or put on a separate circuit/switch? Really want the extra light only when using high beams, but don't want to overload that circuit.

Really want the extra light only when using high beams, but don't want to overload that circuit. The 32" I posted was put on its own wiring harness with remote. You could also tie into the high beam power and run a wire from there to the relay to turn it on as well and have both options.

I want another LED bar and like the idea of paying 1/4th the cost but not if I only get 1/4th the quality. Everything is cheap compared to Rigid. Rigid is one of the best out there they are good bars, but also 6x the price of other bars that are very bright with good quality. Yes most generic lights are made in China but so are 90% of all the electronics in your home and hand right now, everyone loves their iPhones and Samsung TV's. Just because its from China doesn't mean its a bad quality. Rigid uses Cree LEDs and much of their internals comes from China, they are assembled in the US but not fully made in the US from what I understand. Many other name brands that people swear by as well charge 2-3 times what we charge for the. Those higher priced name brand bars often come from the same factories and suppliers but using their branding as the generic bars. A Cree bulb in a $500 vision X bar is pretty much the same as a Cree bulb in a $160 generic light bar. For example generally speaking if you take a light bulb out of your house and put it in hour buddies it's not going to be any brighter. There are some things that make a LED brighter, keeping it cool, etc... but two Cree bulbs made by reputable factories are going to be very similar. Think of it this way. Difference between a Ferrari and a Z06. Z06 is one of the fastest cars you can buy under $75k or you can buy a $1 million dollar Ferrari. Both are fast as crap, 98% of people would be more than happy with a Z06 but would it be nice to have a Ferrari? Yes but not for $1milliom. We are a small business with no physical store and little to no overhead. We sell damn good light bars with a 2 yr free exchange warranty. Many other companies have you send it in and and repair it or your out of a light bar for a few weeks. Our bars use polycarb lenses (same material as ridgid use) and are ip67 waterproof rated which is what most of the light bars on the market are. Regarding the brightness our bars are rated at the same lumen output as pretty much any other bar running the same watts. That being said there are many companies who advertise lumen outputs that are much higher using the same technology as other brands which is a dirty sales tactic in my opinion as most people can't measure the lumens to know if they are getting what they pay for. That being said our bars are bright as hell. Never had a complaint and most of the people say they can't believe how bright and well priced they are.

goose hunter Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Installed my 30" bar this weekend and just waiting to get my switch to finish install, looks good!!!
allterrain14 Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Thanks Goose Hunter!!!! Can't wait to see pics.
ChevyTrucks_95 Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 I finished my light installation the other night. Installed a 31" behind the grill and used the wireless wiring harness from infinite offroad. You can see pics on my vehicle build.
allterrain14 Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Just finished my install this weekend of our 24w flush mount pods. Used the Rigid mount plate and drilled a few holes for the flush mount. I like the look better using the flush mount. The Rigid D2 looks a little unfinished as you can see gaps around it between the light and plate. If anyone needs these we carry them for $40 each. www.infiniteoffroad.com
Specialized Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 I have a 19"/20" light bar (single row) and 2 of the 6 light cubes (in the rear bumper) from you guys. Nick at New South Motorsports here in Franklin got them for me. They are awesome and super bright! Highly Recommend these lights.
Clocked92 Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 I have always been curious if a double row bar will fit behind an AT grille without having too much of the light blocked. When I was at SEMA last week, I went to rigid and measured the height of the light opening on the Curved RDS series bars. The opening is exactly 2 inches on the bar. Got home and measured the AT grill opening below the GMC logo and guess what... exactly 2 inches! I am sure a little bit of light will be blocked due to the fact the bar is set back behind the grill... but I am certainly willing to try a double row bar behind my grille.
