I don't think anyone "needs" these but damn are they fun to have on a vehicle. I have not regretted putting mine on at all, still makes me giggle when I turn it on.

If you drive back roads in (MN) deer country you better not depend on the GM stock lighting...! I need mine!

I agree with you on stock lighting that is why mine was only stock for a few weeks.

Yeah that's my setup. I purchased an opt7 32 inch light bar, came with a wiring harness. For the mount i used rivet nuts. Just drilled to holes in the radiator supports, put the river nuts in and bolted the bar right to the supports. I have more pictures of it in my build thread

Found out today that the Sierra grill is near impossible to remove according to my installer (3 hours???).

Could have mentioned that, guys.

Negative.

If your installer takes 3hrs to remove a 14'-15' sierra grille.... you need to get a new installer.

Message me and I'll take you through it step by step. NOT difficult if your somewhat handy. 20-30min tops.

So what is the build quality/light output like compared to a rigid LED bar? I bought a 30" LED rigid bar a couple years ago but it was something like 800-900 dollars. Why are those so cheap?

I want another LED bar and like the idea of paying 1/4th the cost but not if I only get 1/4th the quality.

Differences:

Build quality second to none. The US Military contracts them to make LEDs for our troops. Nuff said.

Rigid have a lifetime warranty.

Reflector and optic quality are MAJOR differences even if similar or same LEDs are used in cheaper models.

Check out amazon for some pretty good discounts on all types of rigid lights. You can even get lightly used (or opened but not used) for big discounts. Never pay list.
