LED light mounting

For anyone that has installed a light bar behind the grill on a GMC with the shutters that move, did you have any over heating issues or is it even possible to mount something in front of the shutters and not cause issues?

No overheating. The shutters are only for faster warm-up at cold crank. They remain open other times.

i'm still going through this thread,... i got my bar in, but curious how you got homelink button to work.. i'm ordering the wireless harness on page 2 i believe of this thread (infinite offroad)... its it just like programming your garage door opener>?

finally... but not wired up yet... i have a wiring harness, but leaning twords the remote with home link... i think thats a killer idea... and i have 2 spots open, per what someone said.. for the on /off....

anyone else have this setup like that. with the harness mentioned on page 2?..

edit:... just ordered my wireless harness!.. yeah!

**also... the bar took about 1/12 from start to finish.. wasn't as hard as i thought... just was nervous about tearing up the front end of a 50k truck still under warranty..lol.. .. its a 30'... it mounted perfect to the crossbeams.. i had to get longer bolts, as i drilled through the crossbeam... used zip ties to hold it in place, and put the grill back on to make sure it was lined up.. .marked the holes.. took the zip ties off.. drilled.. mounted.... then resembled. ..came out nice... ...

I'm trying to find out what the smaller bars are for on the side of the engine bay, in front of the sway bars. Can't seem to find the part name anywhere.

Thanks!
