Whelen Reverse Lights

I'm a landscaper and plow guy. Usually I put reverse lights on the backrack and remove the tailgate for optimal light in the winter, but with the backup camera, I didn't want to pull the tailgate on the new truck. I spoke with a good friend of mine who is a Whelen dealer, and he came up with a great plan. He plasma cut the bumper, and installed two Whelen 500 series linear led lights. Wow, these really do the trick. Looks great and performs great. I highly recommend doing this if your a plower, what a great investment. I'll add daytime pics tomorrow, but at least you can see the night pics for now. aeabbf25b267e4971ec5325391de6b94.jpgec2453ffad72667ff6f94bce86f71bd7.jpgcfbda5f26a33878bda43cc52f9f3ec1f.jpgfad9d981269289e05cb7723a7639740e.jpg

They look sharp. In the past I've mounted to the bumper or hitch and the lights would always get knocked out of position. So I went with back rack mount on my new truck, also a 2015 2500HD (gasser though). I really do like the way yours look though. Seriously making me reconsider.....

Thanks man. It wasn't my idea, it was my local Whelen dealer that came up with it, so I don't want to take the credit, but man... They are bright and look factory. He's also installing a Whelen century 23" mini bar as well as two Whelen hideaway modules on the rear. I'm pretty excited about it... More pictures to follow.

I've got the 16" Century, and just installed clear LED flashers in reverse lenses today. So far very happy with Whelen products.

Good luck with the truck and weather this year. I know I'm hoping to recoup some of the mass funds I've expended the last few months.

Do they work well with the backup camera? I want to assume it would be so bright for the camera that you would see more white than anything. Of course I don't depend on the camera when backing up, but it would be nice to have a little more like for backing up at night and be able to see better out of the camera. Factory reverse lights are good, but the light to help the camera could be better.

I'm a sub that gets paid hourly. I need snow. Outside of "normal 9-5 hours" since I work a regular full time job. Or enough snow to shut down my office, which is rare, but did happen a couple times last year.

No, I'm not. I've browsed it lots of times, but I never joined for some reason. Might have to change that.
