Hey all,

quick question, and as always, sorry if this is a repeat

when iPhone is plugged in via usb (in center counsole), there is no notifications of text or email. This is the same when its connected via bluetooth... Simple but annoying when I see I missed things Im waiting for. Of course, I pull over and put my hazard lights on anytime I pick up the phone. :)

Am I missing a setting?

Thanks Guys!!

I have noticed this as well and it's annoying. I to have to check my phone from time to time when I'm expecting and email or message.

In another thread, a forum member posted a tip where you can swipe up from the bottom of you iPhone to access the Control Center. Then change the AirPlay from your truck to your iPhone. Then your phone will play the normal audible alerts. Unfortunately, you will have to do this each time your phone connects to your truck, but at least you won't miss important notifications.

Ok I tried this and it does not work like I wanted. When I switch away from airplay (intellilink) then yes it will chime but you can't use the radio for pandora or playing songs.

Hey all, I have another conundrum... Yesterday I took a 500mi trip and had both my iPhone and Ipad plugged into the center console USB. I noticed using the media button, I could not access both devices, rather only the device I plugged in 1st. Later that day, I noticed both devices were no longer charging... Following my trip, I went back to plug in my iPhone and begin trouble shooting and it was charging again. thoughts?

Cajun I think this is more of an iPhone issue. My iPhone is the same way hooked up to my aftermarket interface. Would be interesting to hear from the Android guys whether their phones will still run sound thru their phone.

The easy fix is to use the 12v plug for charging if you aren't going to listen to the phone.

This isn't an iPhone issue, it's a lack of basic functionality. I'm so glad to hear GM customer support chime in with such valuable information. Traveling last week and rented a 2014 Chevy Cruze you cannot imagine how smoking pissed I was to have my music interrupted by a text message notification. I could have the message read to me, send auto responses, display on the screen-you know, basic stuff you would expect in a 60k truck. Doing it in a 20k rental car from the same company pisses me off to no end. I have a Samsung s4 and an iPhone 5s, both worked great. GM needs to fix this, not give lame feedback on a message board.
