Headliner bowing near door opening

I have a 2006 Silverado that I've noticed the headliner (full thickness, not just the cloth) is bowing down near passsenger rear door opening exposing a gap between the headliner and the weatherstripping for the door. If I shine a light in the gap, I see a piece of velcro attached to the roof sheetmetal that is supposed to hold the headliner but it won't hold when I press it back.

 

Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how have you fixed it? Can I add extra heavy-duty velcro (tight space to get to and don't want to damage headliner)?

Haven't had any sagging in my GMC that I've noticed. However, if you can sneak a new piece of Velcro in there I don't see why that wouldn't fix the problem.
